Raina Dalia Ociana
---
the player
name: Cat
experience: It's been a long time, really. Not sure the exact number of years.
the character
name: Raina Dalia Ociana
[Star Aquarius]
gender: Female
age: 18
birthdate: April 12th
occupation: Student [Star Aquarius]
sexual preference: Either boy or girl, it doesn't matter as long as she is attracted
the costume
desired celeb: Lee Hershey
unique features: A small scar on the left arm that looks somewhat like an X or a star. It isn't very noticeable, but it is very defining of Raina.
appearance: Quite the striking young woman, Raina is often described as gaunt and pale by most who see her. More often than not, Raina suffers from her mystery disease that keeps her looking unhappy, though it isn't life consuming it does keep her relatively thin. In the times in which Raina is feeling well only a slight color comes to her cheeks and her eyes seem calm and collected. Deep blue, sometimes gray, Raina's eyes have been known to take the breath of others and leave them mesmerized.
When it comes to attire, Raina tends to wear whatever will fit and won't make her feel awkward. She's been known for a peculiar, but attractive attire that solidifies her uniqueness. No matter what she wears, Raina always keeps her special small broach on a belt-loop or on a golden chain belt. The small broach is made of silver in the shape of a star with careful attention to detail around the edges where there are delicate, but strong hinges that hold the broach closed. Within there is a small blue gem that sparkles brilliantly when any form of light hits it.
In Star Scout form, Raina wears what looks like a normal Sailor Scout outfit, however there are slight differences in her outfit. There are no bows on her chest or at the back of her skirt, instead she has long ribbon sleeves in a soft aqua color, the same shade as her skirt and a small star gem that appears on her forehead. Aside from the basic scout outfit she is also given a long staff with a crystal star at the top.
the play
preferred weapon(s): The long crystal tipped staff and an array of small throwing daggers she often has on her hips.
strengths: Processing situations and coming up with solutions, facing any battle no matter how hopeless, and recovering herself or healing others
weaknesses: Weak endurance, often shy, and not often trusting of others
specialty: Star Scout Healing
personality: Raina is sometimes shy, but she has a refined air about her that she learned from her mother and father due to their high standing in society. Taught since she was young to be smart, respectful, and silent in matters of opinion, Raina has always had the secret wish to rebel. Though she followed in her parents footsteps for so long, graduating high school a full year earlier and beginning her studies in college immediately after, Raina found her heart full of apprehension and longing for something more.
When Raina hits a joyful streak she has the ability to dazzle anyone with her bright eyes and smile, not to mention her infectious laugh. While the disease she inherited from her family line troubles her, Raina doesn't often let it get the best of her. She does fall into depressions that seem impossible to get out of, but upon discovering the broach she finds these are less frequent and much less powerful.
history: From the instant she was born, Raina was forced into the mold of what her parents thought would be the perfect daughter. She was held to high standards and if she failed in any of them she was punished in cruel ways that she hasn't revealed to anyone she knows. Masking everything else, Raina grew up and learned how to separate who she had to be for her family and who she believed she really was. The split in her mind began to overwhelm her in her early teenage years. An insatiable need to rebel began to blossom in her perfectly formed life.
Raina decided that there would be a time and place where she could someday rebel, however, she knew it was important she continue working hard to fulfill her parents dreams in the meanwhile. After graduating high school a full year early, Raina enrolled in the Infani University and began her higher level studies as fast as she could. After her first year in college, Raina's life was becoming overwhelming and wearisome to her. With her father urging her to work even harder and her mother falling into bad habits with drinking, it seemed as if her perfect family image was falling apart at the seams. It was at this troubled time that Raina discovered the broach and the new occurrences in the world.
As her second year in college drew near, Raina began to forsake her studies to pursue her new secret identity as the Star Scout Aquarius. In her time outside of being a scout Raina often finds herself in the gym or avoiding her parents. She devotes most of her time towards training her body instead of her mind these days.
the act
sample roleplay: The Cemetery was calming for Aingeal. Though there was suffering in every gravestone, she told herself that all of the people in the ground were happier in heaven. Aingeal was happy in heaven once. She frowned as she thought on the state of this city. Of the world. There was still so much work to be done, and yet no Flint anywhere she looked. "Bastard," She muttered through a sudden onrush of tears, "Where the fuck did you go?"
The sound of shuffling pulled Aingeal from her anger. That human, Evan if she remembered properly, stood before two graves with flowers in his hand. "Loved ones?" Aingeal said softly as she move in closer, keeping hidden by graves or trees. He said a prayer, down on his knees. "Don't think I've ever seen him like that before," She said under her breath, "He seems almost... decent." The only encounters that Aingeal had with Evan before tended to be by the barrel of a gun. He was so brash and cruel to anything that got in his way.
As the man began to move away, Aingeal couldn't resist following him on his way back to the church. He seemed so tense. Of course he had good reason to be; things were following him in the shadows. If Aingeal could be considered a thing that is. When he was alerted by something, Aingeal was sure she'd been had, but it appeared that someone else was diverting his attention. He walked towards The Cove, which is what Aingeal called it, seemingly confused, as if he'd never seen it before. Whenever Aingeal came to the cemetery she often spent time in that enclosure. It was mysterious, but obviously a grave site for angels and even a devil who died in the last war.
The place was beautiful to her eyes. There were many carvings and stories of the last war there, but Evan seemed to focus on one specific one. The stone he looked at was one that Aingeal found fascinating and peculiar. A joining of an Angel and a Devil. Perhaps the only occurrence of such in the old war. It only made it even more odd that it was two women together. "What is this about?" Evan muttered softly to no one. Aingeal took this as her cue to come from her hiding.
"That's from the war," Aingeal started, walking into the clearing. "A devil once devoted her life to the angel's way of life, but no one would believe she was serious so she tore off her wings in front of Flint. Devil's squirmed in pain as they watched and angels rushed to her side to stop the bleeding. That devil didn't want to be who she was anymore, so she changed." As she spoke, Aingeal recalled watching the happenings from her perch in heaven. She never knew that devil personally, but angels all over heard of her. "As time went on, the devil learned how hard an angel's way of life was without wings. An angel with a bright heart stood by her side through all of her hardships, but she grew weary of watching her beloved suffer alone. The angel tore off her wings for the devil. They all ended up dying in the war though." Aingeal held malice in her voice as she uttered the last sentence.
"Why do we fight? To die?"
